  • January 2024: Lynmarie completes 23+ years of directing the UMass Chemistry-Biology Interface (CBI) program. It has been a rewarding experience, but she is happy to pass the baton to Eric Strieter.
  • November 2023: Jessica Allen wins a Chemistry Department Ambassador Award and visits UMass Lowell to present a research seminar
  • August 2023: Lynmarie is elected President of the Biophysical Society! She is honored to have this opportunity to give back to this society that has been an important source of scientific inspiration and community throughout her career. 
  • 31July2023: Tom and Aruni’s PNAS paper is published! HDX-MS of functional signaling complexes has yielded novel insights into how the kinase is controlled.
  • July 2023: Jessica and Katie attend the Protein Society Meeting in Boston.

    • Katie wins an award for her poster “The role of ATP in P1-P4 Domain Interaction in Bacterial Chemotaxis Kinase CheA” – Congratulations Katie!
  • February 2023: Tom and Lynmarie attend the Biophysical Society Meeting in San Diego. Tom gives a talk proposing that chemotaxis signaling complexes activate the kinase CheA by stabilizing its catalytic domain  
  • January 2023: Bella attends BLAST (Bacterial Locomotion and Sensory Transduction) meeting in Charleston, SC and presents her poster “HDX-MS of the CheW Coupling Protein in E.coli Chemoreceptor Complexes”
