Congratulations to sophomore chemistry major Kanae Sasaki, who received an Edward Shapiro Scholarship from UMass at the Annual Senior and Awards dinner, held on April 29.

Professor Farkas’s organic chemistry class (CHEM 261) was challenged to raise over $150 for the Five-Colleges Against Cancer Relay for Life — in return, one student would get to throw a ‘pie in her face’.  The students managed to raise over $250, and Professor Farkas got the pie.
